** Position Overview
** The Engineering Manager leads a team supporting two manufacturing sites in South Bend, IN, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. This role focuses on continuous improvement, capital project execution, and developing engineering talent in a process safety environment. The position partners cross-functionally to optimize operations and implement scalable, data-driven solutions.
** Primary Responsibilities
*** Lead and develop an engineering team, including coaching, performance management, and succession planning
* Drive process improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
* Identify and implement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance
* Manage capital projects ($2M–$4M annually), including scope, budget, scheduling, and execution
* Apply data analysis, automation, and technology to optimize manufacturing processes
* Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to solve complex production challenges
* Lead structured change management initiatives to support adoption and sustain improvements
* Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including Process Safety Management
** Minimum Requirements
*** Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
* 7+ years of engineering experience in chemical or process manufacturing environments
* 3+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience
* Demonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes (e.g., cost savings, efficiency gains)
* Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience managing capital projects in a regulated environment
* Experience with PLC systems (e.g., Rockwell), SAP, and standard engineering software tools
* Work authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
** Preferred Requirements
*** Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
* Professional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certification
* Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF, AS9100)
* Experience with CMMS systems and advanced data analytics tools#LI-LK1

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $135,000-$160, addition to your salary, H.B.
