As an Engineering Support Specialist II at Honeywell, you will provide essential technical support and coordination to engineering teams, ensuring smooth project execution and timely resolution of engineering issues. You will play a key role in facilitating communication between engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives. You will report to our management team and work out of the South Bend, IN location on an on-site schedule.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and administrative support to engineering teams, including documentation control, data analysis, and project tracking.
- Execute engineering test plans, coordinating with necessary stakeholders and other support functions to achieve project objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of engineering documentation, reports, and presentations to support the decision-making processes.
- Operate and oversee the maintenance of engineering equipment.
- Experience supporting engineering teams in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, with a strong focus on technical coordination and project support.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation practices, data analysis, and project management principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with engineering software tools such as CAD viewers or PLM systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications to support effective communication and issue resolution.
- Ability to stack and load parts up to 35 lbs to set up tests and organize engineering material.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical background to drive and coordinate equipment maintenance.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, or otherwise eligible under U.S. export control regulations.
- Experience in aerospace or high‑technology manufacturing environments.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory compliance in the aerospace industry.
- Proactive problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience using machine tools such as lathes, mills, etc., for sample preparation; CNC experience welcome.
