We are seeking a CAD Designer in our South Bend, IN office.
Job Summary:
The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This individual will work closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers to turn their concepts into technical drawings for a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage CAD-related areas of projects to include set-up, standards, and file management.
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on specifications provided by engineers or project leads.
- Translate design concepts into fully realized CAD designs for various engineering projects.
- Work closely with engineering teams to review designs, ensure feasibility, and incorporate feedback into the design process.
- Attend design reviews, team meetings, and project updates to align CAD work with overall project goals.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from Senior Designers.
Education:
- Associate's degree in related field/CAD Training.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- None
Work Experience/
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar programs. Industry experience preferred.
- Good math skills with the ability to compute areas, volumes, grades, and slopes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Interacts well with other staff.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
