Job SummaryThe Private Client Advisor will focus on the Mass Affluent client base, using planning and financial wellness as the core methodology. The Advisor provides investment services to Key Bank Mass Affluent clients, identifies full relationship opportunities, and works closely with Retail Branch Managers, teams, and Centers of Influence.
Essential Functions- Grow new clients and expand existing relationships with clients managing more than $50,000 in investable assets, targeting those with $250,000 to $2
Million. - Host holistic Financial Wellness conversations, complete comprehensive financial plans, and uncover full household and relationship growth opportunities.
- Use a consultative sales process and assessment tools to provide solutions across investment and banking products.
- Achieve sales production and referral goals to the bank (closed and accepted), working with book of business, lead lists, and received referrals.
- Develop deep knowledge of Key Investment Services solutions and core bank products to generate qualified referrals to the Consumer Bank LOBs.
- Engage branch personnel to identify investment referral opportunities and coordinate all aspects of investment product delivery.
- Provide in‑person coaching and mentoring of branch staff, client management, service delivery, and resource allocation.
- Develop a Center of Influence strategy leveraging partnerships across the Consumer Bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change without notice.
- Comply with Key Bank policies, conduct business ethically, avoid conflicts of interest, and act in clients' best interests.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience (required).
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) – FINRA, upon hire (required).
- License S‑7 – FINRA, upon hire (required).
- License S‑66 or S‑63 and 65 – FINRA, upon hire (required).
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (preferred).
- Resident State Insurance Licenses (Life, Variable, and Accident/Health or Life & Disability) – required.
In the event that required licenses are not held at the time of hire, obtaining them within the time frame specified in the offer letter will be a condition of continued employment. Failure to obtain licenses timely may result in termination of employment.
Skills- Broad knowledge of client and partner needs in bank‑based investment markets.

Physical DemandsProlonged sitting, face‑to‑face communication and phone interaction, frequent computer use, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks or computer bags up to 10lbs.
TravelOccasional travel, including overnight stays.
Driving RequirementsMay need to drive to multiple locations in a single day; valid driver’s license required.
Compensation and BenefitsThis position is eligible to earn commission and deferred incentive compensation.
