A well-established employer in the South Bend, Indiana area has partnered with us to identify a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee HR operations while supporting business leadership. This Human Resources Manager role will manage employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HR strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership. The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, strengthening HR processes, and supporting long-term organizational success.

Key

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager
  • Oversee all HR functions including employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR operations

  • Lead onboarding, performance management, employee development, and retention initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and HR strategy

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee communications

  • Support employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution

  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex employee relations matters

Qualifications for the Human Resources Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred

  • 5–8+ years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility

  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices

  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to operate in a hands-on, on-site HR environment

Compensation

$72,000 – $92,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
