The Paramount Computer Technician will provide on‑site IT hardware troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. The Computer Technician will diagnose and resolve computer‑related issues while supporting the department’s technical needs.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues on Chromebooks, walkie‑talkies, and peripherals.
- Assist with software installation, updates, and system configurations.
- Perform routine maintenance, including replacing keyboards and screens.
- Maintain and organize IT inventory, including spare parts and equipment.
- Maintain and reorganize Chromebook carts.
- Follow company IT policies and security protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Chrome OS, macOS, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
- Reliable transportation.
Annual training and/or professional development is required for all PSOE employees. Job‑specific training is identified and scheduled by the School Principal or direct supervisor in partnership with Paramount C‑suite.
Preferred Skills- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Proficiency in using remote‑control software to diagnose and fix computer problems remotely.
- Understanding of computer networks and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Ability to research, diagnose, and solve emerging computer‑related issues.
