Big Dog Adhesives is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Adhesive Color Specialist to lead the development and management of our adhesive color program. This role is responsible for accurately color matching adhesives to new stone materials, producing professional color chip sets, creating new adhesive colors when required, and maintaining the highest standards of color consistency and quality.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an eye for color and detail, and takes pride in producing a premium finished product. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to continuously improve processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Color match adhesive formulations to natural stone, quartz, porcelain, and other engineered surfaces.
  • Develop new adhesive colors based on customer requests and market trends.
  • Maintain color consistency and accuracy across all production batches.
  • Cast adhesive samples into molds to create color chips.
  • Operate automated color chip finishing equipment that cuts, engraves, and stencils finished samples.
  • Assemble professional color chip sets for distributors, customers, and sales representatives.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of color chips, molds, pigments, and color standards.
  • Document formulations and maintain accurate color records.
  • Evaluate new stone samples and recommend additions to the company color portfolio.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Manufacturing on new product launches.
  • Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to color development and manufacturing efficiency.
