Sand Blaster - 2nd Shift

Description

The Sand Blaster will be responsible for using abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of various materials, including metal, plastic, and other substrates.

M-F: 4pm - 2:30 am

Saturday: 2pm - 10:30 pm

• Previous experience in sandblasting or a related field is preferred, but not required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Must be capable of operating sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently, with a keen eye for detail to ensure surfaces meet quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail is essential; ability to identify imperfections on materials is critical.
• Must work in physically demanding environments, standing for long periods and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
• Solid understanding of safety procedures, ability to follow instructions, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

• Operate sandblasting equipment to remove paint, rust, dirt, or other contaminants from materials.
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
• Adjust equipment settings, including pressure and blast media, to meet project specifications.
• Maintain and clean blasting equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
• Follow all safety protocols, wearing required protective equipment, including respirators, gloves, and goggles.
• Monitor and document progress of projects, including materials used and time taken.
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized at all times.
