Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Grinder Operator to join our team. The primary role involves loading springs into a grinding machine to smooth them after processing. Training will be provided to ensure an understanding of machine operations and daily expectations. Basic math skills are necessary for reading and analyzing the machine and dimensions of the final products. The operator will primarily work with machines grinding smaller springs.

• Load parts into the machine.
• Unload parts after the machine completes its operation.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.

• 2+ years of machine operation experience.
• Experience with mics, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong math skills.
• Good job tenure.

• CNC operation experience.
• Coil experience.
• Grinding operation experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks.

This is a clean manufacturing facility where you will be working primarily in the grinding room, which can be noisy due to ongoing operations. The facility allows for wearing shorts in warm conditions. Safety glasses are required as part of the personal protective equipment. The position is a first shift role, with hours from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in South Bend,IN.
