Cath Lab Registered Nurse | South Bend, Indiana

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a Cath Lab setting. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about cardiovascular nursing and skilled in high-acuity environments. The schedule offers a structured call rotation and integrated weekend coverage, ensuring both professional challenge and work-life balance.

Schedule/

Hours:

• 1 weekend per month required
• Weekday call coverage 4-5 days per pay period (including weekend within this total)
• Call shifts:
  End of regular shift to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, as assigned
• Weekend call:
  End of shift Friday through 7:30 AM Monday

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent experience in a Cath Lab setting required
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac procedures, monitoring, and post-procedure care
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventions
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Operate specialized Cath Lab equipment with precision and care
• Administer medications and provide sedation as appropriate
• Coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely
• Follow strict protocols for infection control and safety
• Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
