Majestic Care of South Bend is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team’s mission of providing excellent healthcare through the hearts of our Care Team Members.

The CNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands‑on nursing care to ambulatory and non‑ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The CNA also assists residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normally as possible.

• Assist residents with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to residents’ call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair to community areas (dining room, lobby, activities).
• Report any significant findings or observations to the nurse immediately.
• Assist residents during admission, transfer, and discharge to ensure a smooth transition.
• Safekeep residents’ personal possessions.
• Keep residents’ rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques.
• Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality.
• Re‑teach residents to perform ADL skills.
• Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensure follow‑up occurs.
• Converse with residents and family, assisting them with adjustment to the community.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of residents; report deviations from the norm to the charge nurse promptly.
• Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output, and weights accurately.

• Certified and state‑tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of employment; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.

$19–25 per hour.
