Triage Nurse - LPN

Job Summary

We are seeking an LPN to join our team full-time or part-time! As a Triage Nurse you will evaluate patients by phone or electronically to determine the severity of symptoms and appropriate next steps. The nurse uses clinical judgment, nursing protocols, and assessment skills to prioritize and provide timely guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assess patients' symptoms, medical history, and current condition.
• Recommend appropriate care, such as emergency services, urgent care, same day appointments, or routine follow-up
• Communicate with physicians and physician assistants.
• Provide patient education regarding symptoms, medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties

Qualifications

• Current LPN license
• BLS Certification
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
