The Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in South Bend, IN, responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices across the data center campus. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and industry best practices. The Safety Manager will conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment for all craft workers and staff.

Day-to-day responsibilities include leading safety trainings, coaching site personnel on safe work practices, investigating incidents and near misses, maintaining documentation, and preparing safety reports. The Safety Manager will collaborate closely with operations, logistics, and project leadership to embed safety into daily workflows and support a culture of continuous improvement.

• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Industrial Safety principles, with experience applying them in construction, logistics, or data center environments.
• Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) management, including development and implementation of site-specific EHS programs and policies.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver effective Safety Training, including toolbox talks, onboarding sessions, and refresher courses for diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Accident Investigation, including root-cause analysis, documentation, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Familiarity with relevant OSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices for high-volume construction or industrial sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels of the organization.
• Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using safety management systems, incident reporting tools, and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations).
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent) preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
