The production supervisor position is responsible for coordinating and assigning the activities of production workers, ensuring that production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving P&L results. This position supervises production operations within an assigned area or during assigned shifts.

Shift

3:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment.
  • Schedules and assigns tasks to workers, troubleshoots issues, and implements improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
  • Delivers clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
  • Provides first level of support for any escalated issue during the work shift.
  • Maintains consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
  • Communicates effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
  • Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
  • Prepares and administers daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
  • Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures that the department has sufficient inventory levels to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.
  • Provides training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
  • Completes all other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 1+ years of leadership experience; experience in a materials/distribution environment is preferred.
  • Capable problem‑solving skills and decision‑making capabilities, demonstrating a strategic approach with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
  • Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience working in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
  • Experience supervising temporary staff.
  • Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
  • General knowledge of OSHA standards.
Educational Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
