Description Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting products and materials to ensure they meet customer requirements, internal specifications, and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, accurate measurement and documentation skills, and the ability to identify, segregate, and report nonconforming products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspections of products.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using measurement equipment and inspection tools.
- Accurately document inspection results, measurements, and quality data.
- Maintain inspection records and reports using Microsoft Excel and company quality systems.
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming products.
- Verify product compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Communicate quality concerns to production, supervisors, and management.
- Support quality audits and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-3 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, and report generation.
- Experience documenting measurements, inspection results, and nonconformances.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify defects and distinguish conforming from nonconforming product.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or optical measurement systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity required for handling inspection tools and products.
- Ability to distinguish fine details during visual inspections.
