Overview

Under general supervision of the Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will perform a variety of duties. This includes:

• Preparing hot and cold beverages to serve
• Serving packaged and prepared foods
• Compiling routine food orders
• Receiving and putting away deliveries, cleaning, and sanitation
• Operation of computerized POS for transactions

• Serve hot coffee and tea beverages
• Use and operate all appropriate equipment
• React politely and quickly to requests, queries, issues, and grievances
• Accept cash and credit card transactions correctly, following proper funds practices
• Display a deep knowledge of all menu options
• Follow all applicable health and safety rules
• Supports Starbucks’ culture, values, and goals
• Capable of working under duress while maintaining a calm disposition
• Keeps the business in good order and predicts the demands of the customers
• Clean, organize, and stock supplies and facility

• Associates comply with the following organizational requirements: completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established time frames
• Completes annual employee health requirements within established time frames
• Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect customers and self
• Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance

• Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required

• The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. Previous customer service experience in a food service environment is also preferred, but not required.
