Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep
The 2026 Management & Sales Training Program role at Sherwin‑Williams is an accelerated, entry‑level position that prepares you for a Store Management role within 18‑24 months. The program offers a clear career trajectory and the opportunity to become an Assistant Store Manager upon successful completion of the initial 8‑week training.

Base pay rangeCompetitive entry‑level salary with the potential for growth based on performance and experience.
The program schedule is typically 44 hours per week and may include evenings and/or weekends. You will collaborate with store management to oversee a million‑dollar business, providing leadership and insight into store operations, strategy, and growth. You will sell to large commercial users such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers, and other high‑volume customers.

- Build and maintain knowledge of all products to provide effective customer recommendations.
- Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Complete store administration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security.
- Maintain outstanding store condition, visual merchandising standards, and promotional displays.
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee complaints.
- Partner with the Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
Minimum Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship for an employment work visa, now or in the future.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least a bachelor’s degree by the start of the program.
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service position.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams.
- Experience working in a team‑oriented setting, including work experience, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Previous sales experience with paint or paint‑related products.
- Experience using time‑keeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
- Native or fluent Spanish language skills.
