Data Center Security Manager, DC Security

Overview

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to lead physical security operations and improve site security across our data centers.

• Manage physical security operations and develop post orders.
• Define security procedures, handle site incidents, and work with security equipment.
• Participate in construction projects, drive day‑to‑day process improvement activities, and manage vendors.
• Ensure consistent deployment of security policies and procedures and participate in recurring site audits and reviews.
• Test new security technologies.

• Experience with access control and CCTV systems.
• 6+ months of security experience, preferably in a data‑center environment.
• Additional education or training in security‑related fields is a plus.

• 2+ years of law enforcement or 8+ years of security‑related professional experience.
• 1+ year of team leadership experience.
• College degree (bachelor’s) or background in Military Police, Law Enforcement, TSA Security Screening, or Correctional Facility Officer.

The base salary range for this position is 28.00 – 50.00 USD hourly. Compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
