Electrical Technician (Temporary)

Location: South Bend, IN

Salary: $74,880 | Multiple Shifts Available (2nd, 3rd)

We are hiring a skilled Electrical Technician for a temporary role supporting industrial maintenance and production operations. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, HMIs, and drives
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and prints
• Use testing equipment (multimeters, etc.) to verify system performance
• Document work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Collaborate with production teams and external contractors to ensure uptime

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, control wiring, and AC/DC drives
• Ability to read electrical drawings and understand NEC standards
• Proficiency with electrical testing tools and Windows-based systems
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts

Preferred

• Associate degree in Electrical or Industrial Technology, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience

Shifts Available

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
