Job Overview
Support the fast-growing HVAC business in North America by providing mechanical maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial HVACR systems.
- Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open‑drive screw chillers.
- Provide customers with high‑level service, diagnose facility inefficiencies, and resolve service‑related items.
- Act as a trusted advisor: deliver recommendations, solutions, and quotes, and identify upselling opportunities.
- Use vibration equipment and dial indicators for mechanical shaft alignment and troubleshooting.
- Travel 10–20% of the time to support customers, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
- Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience (rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing).
- Experience with mechanical shaft alignment, vibration troubleshooting, and use of diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to pass a knowledge examination assessing proficiencies.
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver’s license.
- Hourly rate of $44.93, determined by collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
