SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing routine maintenance. Completes basic and major preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoots minor equipment maintenance problems involving electrical, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement. Assists on projects assigned to the department, administrates cosmetic repairs to the facility finishes, and assists in all areas of facilities maintenance as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Assist with training and onboarding of existing and new staff. Perform major maintenance and/or repairs of facilities equipment, including HVACR. Make recommendations for process improvements. Responsible for assisting in all areas of facilities maintenance including but not limited to:
- Diagnose and repair/replace a failed RTU compressor.
- Routine inspections of all lighting throughout the property, identifying and resolving potential problems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and in-house calls within the designated time frame.
- Maintain pool facilities (if they exist at the property) as assigned.
- Work independently and advise supervisor of additional assistance needed.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area in the engineering shop.
- Prepare daily work forms.
- Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.), Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent certification in HVACR preferred. Must have working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, air‑conditioning maintenance, Rational Combination Ovens, Ice Machines, and Chiller Plants. Prefer 5+ years’ trade experience, apprentice, or on‑the‑job training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
HVACR Certification, EPA I & II or Universal license, Certified Pool Operator, RPZ Inspection, Building Controls, Life Safety Controls, CFESA Certification preferred.
SPECIAL
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
Applicant must successfully complete a physical abilities test for essential functions of this job, including a color blindness test to distinguish color.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
