Diesel Mechanic

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our New Carlisle, IN Service Center. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, with various shifts. Salary ranges up to $39.38 per hour.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment, including preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Duties may also include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding, depending on location.

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Ability to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and electrical systems
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders
• Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
