Hydromechanical Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Hydromechanical Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in South Bend, Indiana.

This role involves building test setups and conducting tests on mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. The technician will be responsible for maintaining and testing mechanical systems, identifying parts for replacement, and placing orders as necessary.

• Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components
• Build test setups and conduct tests to evaluate performance
• Identify parts needing replacement and order parts accordingly
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions
• Work under immediate supervision with minimal exercise of independent judgment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• May require completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in the area of specialty
• 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, procedures, and Microsoft Office
