TheExperience You'll Create
The Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and restoring equipment to optimal working condition. This role ensures that all refurbished equipment meets quality and safety standards before being returned to service or resale. It requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Evaluate equipment condition and identify necessary repairs or replacements.
- Document findings and prepare refurbishment plans.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment using proper tools and techniques.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and perform necessary adjustments.
- Apply finishing touches such as painting, polishing, or protective coatings.
- Conduct functional tests to ensure equipment meets performance standards.
- Verify compliance with safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of refurbished equipment and parts used.
- Update tracking systems and report completed work to management.
- Work closely with service teams to prioritize refurbishment tasks.
- Assist in training new technicians on refurbishment processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or refurbishment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and reporting.
Ability to lift up to 75 to 100 pounds. Perform tasks involving bending, standing, and manual twisting/crouching.
