Job Overview
Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Youth Care Worker at Safe Passage in South Bend, Indiana. The role involves providing 24/7 supervision and support for youth aged 10‑18 at a locked secure facility.
Responsibilities- Provide safety and around‑clock in‑person supervision of youth at a secure residential facility.
- Deliver physical, personal, and health care for each youth through individual counseling and skill development.
- Monitor and document behaviors and activities.
- Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
- Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet goals of each youth's treatment plan.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen (no THC testing for pre‑employment), physical exam, TB test, and child‑abuse registry search.
12‑hour days (8:30 am‑9:00 pm on days or 9:00 pm‑9:00 am on nights) with alternating weekly rotation and one hour break per shift.
Compensation & BenefitsPay: $17.50‑$18.50 per hour based on education and experience.
Earn a $1,000 bonus after successful completion of essential skills training within 90 days.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, company‑paid life insurance (within 90 days), and 401(k) match up to 6% after one year of employment. Paid time off accrues immediately.
