Warehouse Associate

Overview

Richards Building Supply is a wholesale building material distributor serving multiple states with locations nationwide. This role is at our South Bend, IN location.

Position: Warehouse Associate

• Receiving materials in the warehouse
• Loading trucks and processing inventory
• Providing warehouse support including shipping/receiving
• Pulling orders for walk-in customers
• Double checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Providing superior customer service

• High School degree or GED
• Ability to stand, bend, twist through complete shift
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers (verbal and written)
• Positive attitude and team player
• Adhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment
• Work Monday through Friday with potential overtime during busy season

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations
• Provide superior customer service
• Double check all loads for accuracy and ensure they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Provide warehouse support including shipping/receiving
• Submit to driving record check as required
