Are you ready to lead innovation in transformer testing? Join Hitachi Energy’s Product Group Transformer (PGTR) team in South Boston, VA, as our Test Lab Operations Leader
. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee all Factory Test Room activities, ensuring our transformers and components meet the highest performance and safety standards. You’ll guide a skilled team of engineers and technicians through Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with customers and technical experts to deliver excellence.
- Lead and develop a diverse team of test engineers and technicians.
- Plan and execute complex testing activities in collaboration with customers.
- Manage test equipment maintenance, upgrades, and performance.
- Analyze test data and generate reports to support decision‑making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor KPIs.
- Oversee failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a safe and compliant testing environment.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in testing operations or quality management in manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 standards.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data reporting tools.
- Proven leadership in team development and performance management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
