Mechanical Project Manager – HVAC/Plumbing Construction

Location: South Boston, VA | Full-Time

Pay Range: $85,000-$120,000

Ready to take your career to the next level in mechanical construction? We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead HVAC and plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage projects from design through installation and completion
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, and forecasts
  • Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and field teams
  • Procure materials and manage subcontractors and vendors
  • Review invoices, change orders, and payment applications
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and contract requirements
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation
  • Track progress and provide regular project updates
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering
Who You Are

A proactive, detail-oriented leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to manage multiple projects while building lasting relationships. An experienced MEP Project Manager with a background in HVAC start-up and commissioning, specializing in large-scale municipal projects.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of mechanical project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, or plumbing systems
  • Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
Preferred
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with design-build or industrial HVAC systems
