Retail Service Specialist – Overview
Compensation Pay Range: $12.77 - $18.40 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual and quarterly performance bonuses or premiums which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Responsibilities- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute related service programs (Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Ensure telephone calls are answered according to company policy.
- Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrival as needed.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks; ensure completion as assigned.
- Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approval for changes/deviations from management, and clock in/out according to company policy.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles parked in designated areas.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Required: Strong communication skills.
- Required: Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Desired: Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
- Desired: Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
- Desired: ASE Certification.
- Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
