HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC/R Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial environments
. You’ll ensure systems operate efficiently, meet code requirements, and deliver reliable performance in critical spaces like office buildings, retail centers, warehouses, and cold storage facilities.
- Install commercial HVAC/R systems according to blueprints, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and tune‑ups to maximize system efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components.
- Work with various refrigeration units, including walk‑in coolers, freezers, and chillers.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing clear updates and service recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, tools, and technology.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, including proper refrigerant handling.
- 5+ years of hands‑on commercial HVAC/R experience
. - Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, controls, and components.
- EPA 608 Certification (required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- NATE certification
- Experience with energy‑efficient or smart building systems
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
