Staff Accountant

Overview

East Coast Warehouse (ECW) is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations in our corporate finance department located in Dayton, NJ. This role supports month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance while working closely with teams across the organization.

• Support month-end close and annual external audits
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations (including intercompany)
• Perform revenue recognition analysis
• Track capital expenditures and maintain depreciation schedules
• Support inventory review and billing interface reconciliations
• Assist Accounts Payable (AP) and act as liaison with internal teams and vendors
• Reconcile corporate credit cards with supporting documentation
• Compile reports and analysis using Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Ad hoc reporting and additional duties as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred (manufacturing/distribution a plus)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate cross-functionally
