Location: New Jersey (multiple residential job sites)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

This opportunity is designed for established renovation professionals who operate their own business and are interested in consistent, project-based work. This role is not an employment position
. Contractors are engaged per project under a written subcontract agreement with clearly defined scope, pricing, and timelines.
Projects may include all or some of the following:
- Kitchen renovations
- Bathroom renovations
- Drywall repair, preparation, and painting
- Cabinet installation and adjustment
- Ceramic and tile installation
- Flooring installation (tile, vinyl, laminate, hardwood)
- Finished carpentry and trim work
- Demolition, including interior wall removal or relocation
- Basic plumbing and electrical work within licensing limits
Applicants must:
- Operate an independently established renovation or trade business
- Hold an active New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) registration
- Carry Commercial General Liability Insurance (minimum $500,000 per occurrence)
- Carry Workers’ Compensation Insurance or provide a valid exemption
- Maintain any required trade-specific licenses (plumbing/electrical, if applicable)
- Supply their own tools, equipment, materials, and PPE
- Control their own work methods, scheduling, and sequencing
- Be free to accept work from other clients
- Invoice for completed work per contract terms
This opportunity is offered exclusively to independent contractors
. Engagement does not create an employer–employee relationship. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licensing, and business expenses. Compensation is issued via 1099 in accordance with agreed-upon subcontract terms.
