Warehouse Worker - Value Added Service - Packer - 1st Shift

Overview

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

Pay: $18.20 base pay rate.

Work Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

• Accurately pick products by matching numbers and products
• Some heavy lifting, up to 40 lbs
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Follow all safety requirements
• Accurately select products by matching numbers, picking required quantities, and confirming locations using a voice audio headset
• Hand stack cases of product in a defined stacking pattern repetitively from floor to pallet throughout the shift
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment where applicable
• Move items from warehouse to plant or to pickup locations for shipment where applicable
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions
• Ability to work independently, strong customer service, multi-tasking, organizational, flexible, numeracy and time management skills
• Flexible to work overtime (preferred)
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function
• Willingness to work the required schedule and location
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening
• Position is designated as safety sensitive and requires alertness and commitment to safety

• Ability to remember and understand instructions; vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking and sitting; use of hands for handling; regular lifting up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
