About the Role:
The Inventory & Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records while providing exceptional customer service. This role serves as the primary link between customers, warehouse operations, and transportation teams to ensure timely order processing, inventory accuracy, and effective communication. The coordinator supports daily warehouse activities, resolves inventory discrepancies, manages customer requests, and helps maintain efficient warehouse operations.
Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in customer service or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and basic computer skills.
Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Process customer orders, receipts, and shipping requests.
- Provide shipment status updates and proof of delivery.
- Resolve customer issues related to orders, inventory, and billing.
- Coordinate appointments with carriers and customers.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure system accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Perform inventory research, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Review inbound and outbound transactions for accuracy.
- Prepare inventory reports for customers and management.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are completed on time.
- Release and allocate customer orders.
- Verify receiving documentation and shipping paperwork.
- Review Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and shipping documents.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Assist with scheduling inbound and outbound shipments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and warehouse SOPs.
- Maintain customer files and documentation.
- Generate operational and inventory reports.
- Assist with invoice preparation and billing support.
- Update spreadsheets and tracking logs.
- Participate in customer meetings when needed.
- Support month-end inventory reconciliation and reporting.
