Job Summary
The Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests is seeking a Support Service Specialist (SSS) (GS-0342-5/6/7) to manage administrative and visitor services for the Rochester Ranger District. The position is permanent full‑time.
Responsibilities- Oversee administrative operations within the Rochester Ranger District.
- Provide visitor services and support across recreation, trails, wilderness, watershed, fisheries, wildlife, fire, botany, timber, and silviculture programs.
- Ensure smooth office operations and facilitate interactions between program areas and the public.
- Coordinate with staff to maintain a productive and welcoming environment for visitors and program professionals.
