Educational background:

Ph.d. In economics, business administration, or a related field with a focus on managerial economics, earned in residence through a full-time program at an accredited institution.

Industry experience:

Practical experience in applying economic principles in a business context, such as consulting, market analysis, or strategic planning. Experience collaborating with organizations on economic analysis or business strategy projects is desirable.

Possess expertise in microeconomic theory: in-depth knowledge of microeconomic principles, including supply and demand, elasticity, consumer behaviour, and production theory, understanding of market structures (perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly) and their impact on business decisions; decision-making under uncertainty: familiarity with concepts of risk and uncertainty in managerial decision-making, expertise in tools and techniques for analysing decisions, including expected utility theory and game theory;

cost analysis and pricing strategies: proficiency in analysing costs and developing pricing strategies based on market conditions and competitive dynamics, understanding of pricing models, including price discrimination and dynamic pricing; market analysis: comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, including market entry and exit strategies, market power, and competitive advantage, ability to analyse market trends and their implications for managerial decisions; government and regulatory impact: awareness of the role of government policies and regulations in shaping economic environments and business operations.

Language
