Estimator,theSenior
Estimatorplaysaleadroleinthepreconstructionprocessandisresponsibleforpreparingandoverseeingprojectbudgets,pre-bid packages,andfull-scopeestimatesbasedon
Design-Buildand/or Construction
Managerconstructiondocuments.
Senior Estimatorsleadthedevelopmentofschematicandconstructiondocumentestimates,coordinatewithprojectmanagementteamsandtradepartners,andmanagethesolicitationandevaluationofsubcontractorbidsandscopesofwork.
Thisroleisresponsiblefordevelopingcomprehensivecostmodels,identifyingprojectrisksandopportunities,andensuringestimatesarecomplete,accurate,andalignedwithprojectgoals.
Senior Estimatorsalsomentorandsupportjuniorestimators,helpingtodevelopestimatingstandards,improve processes,andstrengthentheoverallpreconstructionteam.
Regulartravelthroughout Vermont and New Hampshireisrequiredinordertoattendprojectsitepre -bid meetings,sitetours,andpost-bid interviews.

Theidealcandidatewillhaveatleast
10yearsofexperienceinpreconstruction/estimatingoncommercialconstructionprojects,includingexperienceleadingestimatesforprojectsvaluedbetween $20
Mand $50M.ABachelor’sdegreein
Construction
Management,Engineering,orarelatedfieldispreferred;anequivalentcombinationofeducationandworkexperienceinconstructionestimatingwillbeconsidered.
Candidatesshoulddemonstratestrongleadership,estimating,budgeting,negotiating,andpresentationskills,aswellastheabilitytoguideestimatingstrategyandmentorjuniorstaff.
Knowledgeandexperiencewithcivil/site construction,foundationandstructuralsystems,casework,doors,specialties,interior finishes,exteriorbuildingwallsystems,mechanicalandelectricalsystems,andsustainableorgreenbuildingpracticesispreferred.
