Responsible for assisting a site-specific School's Out Site Director in planning, supervising, and delivering programmed activities. Works alongside Level 2 or higher personnel, does not work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interacting with students, staff, parents, and the school community in a constructive manner to create a positive, and welcoming learning environment.
- Providing general supervision to students. Ensures guidelines for participation, inclusion, conduct, and discipline are followed to maintain a safe, enjoyable, learning environment.
- Monitoring student transitions and dismissal from activities.
- Serving as a liaison and maintaining relationships with students, school administrators, parents/guardians, volunteers, and community members.
- Assists with the coordination and supervision of students during monthly field trips.
- Attends meetings as needed.
- Providing regular feedback to the Site Director about activities, recommended actions, needs, concerns, and highlights. Reports incidents involving students and/or staff immediately to the School's Out Site Director and/or Assistant Program Administrator.
Must meet requirements for child labor, one or more years of HS or equivalent. Some demonstrated experience working with younger children and/or customer service skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others, commit to tasks, and display enthusiasm.
Certified in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Second Step, Trained in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community is essential. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form is required.
