Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners as a Kindergarten Behavior Interventionist. In this full-time, contract opportunity, you'll help kindergarten students with Individualized Education Programs thrive academically and personally. You'll work in an engaging, school-based setting near South Burlington, contributing directly to early educational success for children needing additional behavioral, communication, and daily living support.

Working alongside a collaborative team led by a special education teacher, you'll deliver individualized and small-group interventions tailored to diverse needs. Your dedication will enable students to access learning and achieve greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized and group assistance for kindergarteners with IEPs to foster growth and engagement
  • Implement targeted behavioral, communication, and accessibility interventions
  • Support students in developing independent daily living skills
  • Collaborate closely with special educators, related service providers, and general education staff
  • Reinforce instructional strategies as directed by the supervising teacher
  • Accurately track and document student progress
Qualifications &

Preferred Experience:
  • Proven experience with children in educational or childcare environments (school-based background required)
  • Familiarity with supporting students who have diverse learning or behavioral needs
  • Effective communication, notable patience, and strong teamwork capabilities
  • High school diploma is required; an associates or bachelors degree in education or related fields is preferred
