Job Overview
Pratt & Whitney in Burlington, VT is looking for a Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician with an A&P license to join our growing team.
In this role you will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to, Non-Destructive Inspection duties relating to the overhaul and repair of gas turbine engines. You will perform Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Eddy Current inspection methods on various engine components to determine conformance to Overhaul and Repair Manuals and Quality Standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and/or Eddy Current inspection methods on various engine components to determine conformance to Overhaul and Repair Manuals and Quality Standards.
- Servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing and removing equipment.
- Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives while assessing product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
- Comply with all company work rules, follow safe work practices and procedures established to protect the environment, and report to supervisor all unsafe acts, hazardous conditions, and conditions which impact or have the potential to impact the environment.
- Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
- HS Diploma and typically AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) or equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years prior NDT and/or A&P experience.
- Currently hold a level 2 in one or more NDT methods.
- Active A&P license.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal and external customers.
- Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
- Salary range: $43,400 USD – $82,600 USD.
- Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000.

Per FAA Guidelines, this is a safety-sensitive position; candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulation 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40.
