Verdantas is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer II to contribute to our expanding project portfolio in Vermont
.

In this role, you will support project managers and team members with a variety of tasks, including field data collection, civil engineering design, site layout, drainage analysis, preparation of permit applications, and assistance with construction‑related services. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous growth, while contributing to meaningful projects that drive environmental and infrastructure solutions.

• Assist the Project Manager on municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects
• Prepare reports and permit applications related to civil engineering projects
• Assist in the design of civil engineering‑related projects, including site grading, wastewater collection, septic design, road and drainage improvements, drinking water treatment, distribution, and storage, and construction services assistance
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project needs
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices in all project activities
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution
• 2‑5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater, and site design
• EIT or PE preferred
• AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D experience required
• Vermont regulatory framework experience preferred
• Strong understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, including stormwater/drainage design, surface water hydraulics, water and sewage systems, and roadway/parking design

The compensation range starts at $70,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.
