Packaging R&D Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer packaged goods industry, is seeking a Packaging R&D Specialist to join their team. As a Packaging R&D Specialist, you will be part of the Packaging Research & Development department supporting a collaborative and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Packaging R&D Specialist

South Burlington, VT (hybrid 3 days a week on site)

$45 to $52 p/h on w-2

18 months with the possibility of extension/conversion

• Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of packaging development and transformation activities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers to coordinate packaging trials, testing, and validation activities.
• Develop, update, and maintain packaging specifications and technical documentation.
• Support packaging-related supply chain and manufacturing initiatives.
• Execute packaging and engineering test plans, analyze results, and provide recommendations.

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of packaging experience within a consumer packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) environment.
• Experience supporting packaging specifications, testing, and supply chain activities.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, including flexible packaging, paper cups and lids, and corrugated packaging.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CAPE/TOPS, and packaging specification management systems.
