Application Analyst

This position requires regular onsite presence in both Vermont and Northern New York. Candidates must be able to travel to and work from these locations as part of their ongoing responsibilities.

The Epic Professional Billing Analyst I provides analysis, technical support, and maintenance for software that supports professional billing. The Analyst develops a clear understanding of the software and tools required to meet end‑user needs while following established guidelines. Responsibilities include collaborating with end users, vendors, and internal IT staff to support business processes and ensure cohesive integration of the software applications with operational workflows and billing regulations.

The Analyst may include a subspecialty in designing and delivering training documentation for software used in business processes. This includes business analysis, training materials, user guides, and building, testing, and maintaining training environments.

The Analyst may be required to provide support coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and to travel regularly throughout the UVM Health Network.

Education:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• For Epic Application support, certification is required within 120 days of hire with a maximum of three attempts.

Experience:

• Preferred:
  Experience with application support and/or implementation.
• Alternatively: 1 or more years of relevant operational experience in lieu of direct system support.

Applicants will be placed at a level and salary commensurate with years of relevant experience. The hiring team reserves the right to determine appropriate level placement of the final candidate.
