Job Summary

The Development Coordinator contributes to the successful execution of fundraising programs for the Development Offices across UVM Health Development Shared Services by processing philanthropic gifts and managing donor acknowledgement letters for multiple partners. The role focuses on system-wide data integrity, donor record maintenance, and serves as a resource for development staff.

Responsibilities
  • Process philanthropic gifts and manage donor acknowledgement letters for multiple partner organizations.
  • Maintain system-wide data integrity and donor records.
  • Document prospect contacts and generate reports.
  • Perform general data maintenance across multiple partners.
  • Support other development activities including general administrative support and event staffing.
  • Act as a resource for development staff and collaborate with the System Director of Philanthropy.
Education

Bachelor's Degree with three to five years of related professional experience preferred; preferably within an academic, health care, non‑profit or customer relations environment, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that has resulted in substantial success and productivity.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a relational database;
Raiser's Edge/Blackbaud experience strongly preferred. Prior experience in healthcare philanthropy within large, complex organizations preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge & Special Skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal, including sound grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage frequent interruptions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relational databases.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required by events.
