Receiving Inspector – ResponsibilitiesOur Receiving Inspector position supports the team by ensuring all incoming material and components are received in accordance with company and industry standards. The role includes performing initial receiving inspections on aerospace parts and components using established inspection plans and industry specifications to deliver conforming material to teams and production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Verify the count of product received
- Retrieve and interpret technical and certification documents
- Review supplier certification for compliance to purchase order requirements
- Scanning and indexing supplier documentation
- Complete required documentation and enter information into our ERP system, creating reports as needed
- Identify traceability information to raw material
- Inspect basic key product characteristics
- Act as the interface with Purchasing and Quality departments
- Prioritize workflow
- Perform tasks as needed per individual jobs
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment and comply with safety requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze documents such as blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace conformity requirements
- Previous aerospace receiving inspection experience, including familiarity with FAA Forms 8130s, EASA Form One, Manufacturer's C of C, supplier certifications, mill test reports
- Arithmetic proficiency in units of measure including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and/or web‑based software
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Two‑ or four‑year degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Two or more years of experience in Quality Control in Aerospace
- Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ)
- Experience with Six Sigma quality techniques
- Knowledge of quality management systems such as AS9100
- Experience interfacing with enterprise systems such as Plex
- Experience working with a manufacturing team
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment using OSHA‑required PPE
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role. Compensation ranges from $26 – $35 USD per hour.
