Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) South Burlington, VT 05403

JOB OVERVIEW

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
  • Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 8‑12 hours per week

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role has three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for daily work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers are vital.
  • Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may face additional days and extended hours, and may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
  • Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Removals typically are notified two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekend work.
  • One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who support one another in their territories when needed.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This is a physically demanding job that requires energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand continuously, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

    BASIC

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Read, write, and understand English.
    • Capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying products up to 30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
    • Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
    • Have access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
    • Have reliable transportation to travel between assigned stores on schedule.

    Part‑time employees with a work schedule less than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
