Cost Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are hiring a Cost Accounting Manager for our Columbia, South Carolina site. The role reports to the Controller and focuses on month‑end closing, budgeting, cost control, and compliance with corporate and legislative policies.

• Serve as main point of contact for Global Business Services on finance objectives.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports.
• Participate in special projects and compile special reports.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial investigations for local management.
• Prepare receivables reports as required.
• Work closely with operations and commercial teams to recognize business impacts on the site’s financial position.
• Prepare weekly/month‑end reports for the business team.
• Prepare financial reports for regulators and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Assist with internal and external financial audits.
• Assist with managing the Accounting and costing departments.
• Implement HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified workforce.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience and training).
• Background in manufacturing/cost accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Advanced functional and technical skills with basic people and/or process management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the cost accounting function and Flex’s business.
• Comprehensive understanding of GBS team and related processes at the site.
