Job Responsibilities
- Establishes accounts for and conducts all of the receiving, posting, balancing and periodic reconciling for institutional inmates.
- Functions as institutional budget manager with full fiscal operations responsibilities, etc.
- Maintains current approved dependent roster and allots monies to authorized dependents and other accounts according to SCDC policy; to include writing, posting and mailing of all checks.
- Monitors and coordinates inmate payroll check registers and individual account ledgers.
- Responsible for institutional budgetary processing procedures, to include purchasing and back-up to the commissary.
- Gathers and compiles special information for report and statistical purposes such as federal and state taxes paid, social security paid, amount paid for dependent support, and SCDC subsistence.
- Performs other administrative duties as required.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

- A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
