Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated Full‑Time Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. Our state‑of‑the‑art facilities enable us to deliver the highest quality oral and maxillofacial surgical care in a safe and welcoming environment. We pride ourselves on utilizing the latest technology and fostering a collaborative, professional atmosphere where both patients and staff thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive and professional first impression
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Verify patient insurance information and process payments
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing correspondence
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Support the team with various clerical duties as needed
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office administrative role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and coding is a plus

Requirements
  • High School diploma or graduation equivalency degree (GED) and a certificate
  • Excellent communication skills in person, writing and via telephonic conversation

  • Quick to take on new information
  • Self starter who requires minimal supervision
  • Ability to utilize office software
  • Microsoft skills to include:
    Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
