Job Duties:
* The County Administrative Assistant performs a variety of complex administrative support duties. Exercises judgment and discretion in various duties performed for the agency. Demonstrates ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals.
* Performs job delivery and/or performance with positive or appropriate customer service delivery to clients, foster parents, the public and co-workers.
* Orders office supplies for the county office and other needed supplies for all departments. Prepares, processes, & picks up mail daily.
* Replenishes copiers and network printers with toner and paper; orders cell and desktop phones, computer equipment and office equipment, including keys for cabinets and doors; provides technical assistance and/or sends requests for technical assistance as it pertains to computers, phones, and office equipment.
* Backup for front office. Accepts, processes, & maintains records for all SNAP/TANF repayments. Serves as the EBT coordinator. Processes faxes received. Assists with FA Mailbox, Voice mail, On-line registrations, & changes. Provides customer service as needed.
* Serves as the bookkeeper for all accounts payable & receivables. Processes repayments and voucher payments, including printing of checks and bill payments; prepares bank account deposits and daily cash logs. Makes use of & adheres to policy of P-card. Submits reimbursements and travel requests.
* Serves as the Vehicle Coordinator overseeing the State fleet for Laurens County, including maintenance and cleaning of vehicles. Submits report monthly to State fleet office.
* To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
* Evaluates credentials for vacant positions and schedules interviews, reference checks, & preparation of position descriptions. Backup to Administrative Supervisor & HRL.
* Handles procurement data and works with the Procurement Department in processing this data; prepares purchasing requisitions.
* Performs emergency disaster management services to include the American Red Cross sheltering and Disaster SNAP duties.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
High School Diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
